Zhichen Lai 赖志宸

I am an Associate Research Professor at the College of Computer and Data Science, Fuzhou University, China, and a member of the Fujian Key Laboratory of Network Computing and Intelligent Information Processing, where I work under the mentorship of Professor Xing Chen. I lead the Data Intelligence and Interdisciplinary Information Group (DIG@FZU), and my research focuses on spatio-temporal data mining, GeoAI, efficient deep learning, and AI for science and health.

In 2025, I was selected for the Ministry of Education's National Overseas Talent Recruitment Program (教育部国家海外引才专项); in 2026, I received a Young Scientists Fund (Category C, 国自然青C) grant from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) as principal investigator.

I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Aalborg University (AAU) in 2025. My doctoral advisors were Professors Christian S. Jensen (a Member of Academia Europaea and a Fellow of both ACM and IEEE), Dalin Zhang, and Huan Li. I also conducted research under the supervision of Professor Hua Lu, serving as a Research Fellow. In 2024, I was a Junior Visiting Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), supervised by Professors Lina Yao and Dong Gong.

I earned my M.S. in Computer Science from Sichuan University (SCU) in 2021 under Professor Jiancheng Lv, and my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in 2018.
